The Tigers volleyball team advanced in the district tournament after emphatically defending the Den and dispatching Cobre in three straight sets. Though the battle was a closely fought one, especially in the first two sets, the Tigers never wavered, never lost their composure, and always kept battling as a tightly bonded Tiger team.

The sets, 25-21, 25-22 and 25-19 went through ties and lead changes, but the Tigers prevailed in each one. From here the Tigers advance to face off, on the road against Socorro, Thursday, November 7, first serve set for 6 p.m. The winner there will head to Hatch for the district finals, Saturday, November 9.

A full match article will appear in Friday's Sentinel.
