With a full line up of guest speakers, and special contributions from many in the community, officials with the New Mexico State Veterans Home (NMSVH) once again opened their gates to host a memorable Veterans Day Ceremony Monday, November 11. In addition to moving statements by those on hand to address the assembly, the morning’s gathering included a moving rendition of Our National Anthem by Deputy T-or-C Police Chief Erica Baker and a special performance of “America the Beautiful” by a children’s choir from the Manzano Christian School. Guests were also treated to an offering of “God Bless the USA” by Cynthia Perea and “God Bless America” by Marty Novak. This year’s event further included tours of the facility, an exciting flyover by local pilots and a follow-up luncheon with live music.
