Masons Make Donation To Schools

The Masonic Lodge Bethesda in T-or-C, partnering with New Mexico Gas Company presented a $4,000 donation to the municipal schools Tuesday, January 5. With public health restrictions hampering their normal ways of raising money, the donation was made possible by local Masons brethren digging deep, often into their own pockets as well as funds given by New Mexico Gas. All money raised locally for this donation to the schools was matched by the Masonic Charity Foundation. The check, presented to T-or-C Municipal Schools Superintendent, Dr. Channell Segura is to be used to furnish coats, caps, sweaters and other needed warm clothing items to students who have been impacted by the effects of COVID-19 and the public health restrictions. The Mason’s generous donation is all part of the local Masonic Lodge Bethesda’s efforts to continue to answer the call, stepping to help with needs of our students, and to be a positive benefit to them, even in these challenging times. As they themselves put it, “Tough times don’t last, but tough people do!”
