Water Line Project Preparations

Over the past week, contracted engineers, as well as officials with the New Mexico Department of Transportation have clearly left their marks, here (above) at the confluence of Pershing Street and Austin Avenue, and throughout Truth or Consequences’ downtown district. These colorful markings identify the location of current underground infrastructure and other features for a preliminary engineering report now being compiled. This is a preliminary step in a planned waterline replacement project, which will hopefully soon bring more reliable service to the area and eliminate leak concerns that have plagued this portion of the city for many years.
