The 2019 Sierra County Fair Queen contest concluded just ahead of the annual junior livestock sale Saturday evening, October 5 with a formal crowning ceremony. After relaying how the event was one of the most challenging contests in recent memory, coordinator Krystie Wear recognized this year’s Sierra County Fair Queen Kara Clement. Prior to this penultimate moment, under ever-intensifying suspense, Ward announced the selections of Sweetheart,Reece Diamond, Dutchess Nevaeh Mitchell and Princess Kimmy Molsbee. A total of 13 contestants vied for the four available royal court positions, all engaging in one-on-one interviews with judges before moving through personal presentations, individual questions and group performances as required. Community residents no doubt join in sharing sincere congratulations for Kara, Kimmy, Nevaeh and Reece, as well as for all the other young contestants who made this year’s event one of the best ever.
