A total of 13 contestants gathered at T-or-C’s Albert J. Lyon Event Center for final competition in the 2019 Sierra County Fair Queen contest Tuesday evening, October 2. Respectively vying to wear the crown as Fair Queen, Princess, Dutchess and Sweetheart, all the young contestants first participated in one-on-one interviews with the panel of judges. They then joined in a group introduction/performance (above), offered prepared statements and answered an impromptu question before a large and appreciative audience. With competition completed Tuesday evening, all involved will now be anxiously awaiting the formal crowning ceremony, which will be conducted just prior to the Junior Livestock Sale at the event center pavilion Saturday evening, October 5.
