The U.S. Capitol Christmas tree makes stops along the way to Washington, DC, providing the opportunity for local communities to celebrate the spirit of the season and our great outdoors.

New Mexico cities the tour may stop include Questa, Red River, Eagle Nest, Taos, Espanola, Chama, Dulce, Bloomfield, Cuba, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Truth or Consequences, Capitan and Alamogordo.

The following items are included in the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tour:

•The 2019 U.S. Capitol Christmas tree. 

•A banner on the side of the truck for event attendees to sign, wishing the tree a safe journey and sending local greetings to Washington, DC. 

•Information/hand outs and small giveaways from the U.S. Forest Service, 
Choose Outdoors and Event Sponsors.

•U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Merchandise for purchase.

•Smokey Bear (mascot) *available upon request in certain locations 

•Approval for use of program logos, including Carson National Forest, U.S. Capitol Christmas tree logo, U.S. Forest Service + Choose Outdoors.

•Media materials, including a press release and calendar listing templates.
