Representatives from the USDA Rural Development and National Telecommunications and Information Administration will be co-hosting a special public workshop in Truth or Consequences, Wednesday, November 13. The scheduled workshop will be held at the Truth or Consequences Civic Center, 400 West Fourth Avenue, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., admission is free.

This presentation will provide useful information for many individuals, businesses and organizations throughout the community. The session will also likely engage Sierra County authorities, who recently received funding designated to support a study of broadband opportunities.

The November 13 workshop agenda features information about cutting-edge broadband applications, an overview of related USDA and state grant/loan programs, as well as an interactive session focusing on evaluating and developing broadband projects.
